Overview
At Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Memorial Hospital, we keep a vision of providing premiere quality care to all our patients. At the same time we believe in training young enthusiastic doctors in OBG who want to get trained and excel in the field of infertility. Hence we undertake postdoctoral fellowship in reproductive medicine at Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Memorial Hospital. This fellowship is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. This is an 18 months training program during which the candidate goes through extensive training in all the aspects of infertility. This includes detailed evaluation of female and male factor infertility to make a competent provisional diagnosis. They will be trained to do relevant diagnostic tests which give them an insight into the complicated etiological factors associated with sub fertility. Since it is a level 3 fertility centre, the students are exposed to state of the art technology in fertility care with due importance to evidence based medicine and up-to-date patient care. They will have hands-on experience in USG including 3D and Doppler, IUI, cyst aspiration, oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer and hysterolaparoscopy. They will also be encouraged to take up research activities including prospective studies and publish papers. To keep an edge on the recent advances in medical care they will be encouraged to attend continuing medical education programmes.

Degree offered
It's a residential programme designed by RGUHS (Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences) and the final degree will be awarded by RGUHS.

Can do independent fertility scans.
Can do independent Ovum pick up & Embryo Transfer.
Can start patients on IUI and IVF stimulation protocols.
Can get exposed laparoscopy and hysteroscopy related to fertility.
Eligibility criteria
A person shall be eligible for admission to Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine only if he/she
Is a citizen of India.
Has a MBBS degree from a university established by law in India as recognized by the MCI.
M.D. / M.S. (or its equivalent recognised degree) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from a University established by law in India and recognised by the MCI or any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India and declared as equivalent..
or DGO with 3 years experience.
