- The age of the woman
This is the most important factor that affects fertility in a woman. Fertility is fairly good until the age of 35 years. Thereafter, studies has shown a gradual decrease in the fertility rates. Couples with no detectable causes for infertility with regular unprotected intercourse for a duration of 1 year should be able to conceive naturally. Couples would be advised to seek medical attention if there is delay for more than 2 years.
Medical Problems
Chronic illnesses like uncontrolled diabetics mellitus, chronic renal failure, hormonal disorder may have detrimental effects on fertility, so hence advised to seek medical help early
