At Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Memorial Hospital, we keep a vision of providing premiere quality care to all our patients. At the same time we believe in training young enthusiastic doctors in OBG who want to get trained and excel in the field of infertility. Hence we undertake postdoctoral fellowship in reproductive medicine at Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Memorial Hospital. This fellowship is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. This is an 18 months training program during which the candidate goes through extensive training in all the aspects of infertility. This includes detailed evaluation of female and male factor infertility to make a competent provisional diagnosis. They will be trained to do relevant diagnostic tests which give them an insight into the complicated etiological factors associated with sub fertility. Since it is a level 3 fertility centre, the students are exposed to state of the art technology in fertility care with due importance to evidence based medicine and up-to-date patient care. They will have hands-on experience in USG including 3D and Doppler, IUI, cyst aspiration, oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer and hysterolaparoscopy. They will also be encouraged to take up research activities including prospective studies and publish papers. To keep an edge on the recent advances in medical care they will be encouraged to attend continuing medical education programmes.
